Kenya is signing HIV/AIDS grants amounting to KShs 21.9 billion for the fiscal year 2015/2016 and 2016/17. The funding will be managed by three principal recipients:
• The National Treasury, KShs 17.7 billion
• Kenya Red Cross, KShs 3.7billion
• KANCO, KShs 0.6 billion The funds will support:
• Enrollment of additional 600,000 Adult and children HIV patients on ARVs
• Elimination of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (eMTCT)
• HIV prevention among adolescents and youth including young women and girls, and Key Populations
